Ingredients

A healing recipe I grew up with that can be flavored in a variety of ways. Great for nourishing digestion and nursing the ill back to health.
 
  • 1 cup rice (use white rice if digestion is particularly weak)
  • 10 cups of water

Instructions

  1. Wash the rice at least 5 times completely with water. 
  2. Combine the rice and water in the pot, bring to a boil; then, turn down to a simmer and cover it partially. 
  3. Simmer for about 3-4 hours stirring from time to time.
  4. Add more water to maintain a liquidy consistency. 
  5. This can also be cooked in a pressure cooker for 1-2 hours normal pressure.
